The BIPOC advisory committee consists of six members, two from each academic unit. They self-identify as Black, Indigenous or Person of Color, and have been nominated by the heads of their respective units. The committee operates in an advisory capacity to the AHS DEI committee.

The student BIPOC group’s main tasks include helping develop the DEI web presence for our college, working alongside the DEI committee. They will self-organize (with mentoring from two DEI committee members, Elizabeth Mason and Pasquale Bottalico, and the committee’s chair, Fatima Husain) and meet several times each semester.
