Featured Speaker: Matt Ballinger

We are honored to introduce our keynote speaker, Mr. Matt Ballinger, whose exemplary career spans both military service and law enforcement leadership. A former U.S. Army Ranger in the 3rd Ranger Battalion, Mr. Ballinger’s military experience has been foundational in shaping his leadership and commitment to public service. His distinguished path includes nearly 20 years of service with the University of Illinois Police Department, where he currently serves as the Executive Director of Public Safety and Chief of Police.

Mr. Ballinger is distinguished by his unwavering commitment to safeguarding not only the University of Illinois campus but also the broader Champaign-Urbana community. His leadership roles have included commanding METRO SWAT and pioneering programs that enhance community safety and mental health intervention. Join us in welcoming Mr. Ballinger as he shares insights from his remarkable career and continued dedication to protecting and serving others during our Veterans Day event.
